1. Data controller

2. Data collected

Depending on how you use the service, we collect:

• Account data : company name, email address and password (stored as a hash, never in plain text).
• Billing data : subscription history, chosen plan and amounts invoiced — payment details themselves (card numbers) are processed directly by our payment provider (Stripe) and never pass through our servers.
• Product and competitor data : the product listings and competitor URLs you enter, together with prices automatically collected from publicly accessible pages on those competitors' websites. These checks concern only public commercial information (prices and availability), never third parties' personal data.
• Technical data : connection logs and IP addresses, for security and to keep the service running properly.

3. Purposes of processing

Your data is used to:

• provide and operate the price monitoring service (creating and managing your account, tracking prices and sending alerts);
• manage billing and payment for your subscription;
• contact you (support, information about your trial or subscription, and replies to enquiries submitted through the contact form);
• keep the service secure and prevent fraudulent use.

4. Legal basis

This processing is based on performance of your contract with Comparzeo (providing the service and billing), our legitimate interests (security and service improvement) and, where applicable, compliance with legal obligations (retention of billing data).

5. Recipients of your data

Your data is neither sold nor rented. It may be shared with our processors, strictly to the extent needed to perform their services:

• OVH SAS (server and database hosting, France);
• Stripe (card payment processing);
• Brevo (transactional emails: welcome messages, price alerts and confirmations).

These providers are subject to contractual confidentiality and security obligations. Your data is not transferred outside the European Union without appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or equivalent measures).

6. Retention periods

Account data is retained throughout your contractual relationship with Comparzeo, then archived or deleted within a reasonable period after cancellation, subject to statutory retention periods (in particular, accounting and billing records are retained for 10 years under the French Commercial Code).

7. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability concerning your personal data. You can exercise these rights at any time by writing to contact@comparzeo.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (cnil.fr).

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures (password protection, restricted data access, excluding regular security updates) to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration. However, no system is infallible, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Cookies

The website uses only cookies strictly necessary to operate the service (maintaining your login session and security). These cookies do not require prior consent under applicable regulations. No third-party advertising or audience measurement cookies are currently used.
